Madeira and the Canary Islands
This trip plan aims to maximize endemics (species and subspecies) of all the island endemics, with 6 pelagic days of masterful chumming operations to photograph all the tubenoses in these waters.
The trip will be guided by Miguel Demeulemeester and Hadoram Shirihai, who have years of experience in finding and photographing the endemic land birds of these archipelagos, as well as years of research on the tubenoses living on these islands.

The journey and activities per day:

Madeira
Day 1 - Start of the tour with birding for Trocaz Pigeon and Madeiran Firecrest in the mountains of Madeira.
AM: Palheiro Gardens + Ribreiro Frio
PM: Pelagic trip with Madeira Windbirds
Day 2 - Visit Roseate Terns and if needed, another visit to the endemic landbirds of Madeira
AM: Sao Vincente area + firecrest stake-out if needed
PM: Pelagic trip with Madeira Windbirds
EV: Madeiran Barn Owl (Cristo Rei) + visit Zino’s Petrel colony
Day 3 - Visit the peninsula Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço for Rock Sparrow and Berthelot’s Pipit
AM: Ponta de São Laurenço
PM: Pelagic trip with Madeira Windbirds
EV: Madeiran Barn Owl (Cristo Rei) if needed
Transfer Madeira -> Tenerife
Day 3 - If needed, we can do some more birding before heading to the airport e.g. Waxbills in Machito
Flight from Funchal to Tenerife North via Gran Canaria with Binter Canarias
Arrival on Tenerife in the evening

Day 5 - Endemic landbirds: both pigeons, robin, chaffinch
AM: Los Rodeos, Mirrador de la Cumbre, Las Lajas, Chio Pinar
PM: Monte del Agua, Mirrador la Grimora
Day 6 - Any species we missed
AM: Las Mercedes
PM: transfer to Gran Canaria from Santa Cruz to Las Palmas
GRAN CANARIA
Day 7 - Day devoted to finding the Gran Canaria Blue Chaffinch
AM + PM: search for the chaffinch
Day 8- Transfer and first endemics of Fuerteventura
AM: transfer to Fuerteventura e.g. 11h00 from Las Palmas ferry arrives 13h00 at Morro Jable
PM: Barranco Del la Torre II for the chat

Day 10 - Cleaning up
AM: Embalse de los Molinos for chats and sandgrouse, trumpeter finch,
PM: any missing species?
Transfer to Lanzarote, e.g. ferry at 18:00 from Corralejo -> Playa Blanca
