Completing the form will enable us to finalize the specific plan for the upcoming Pelagic Days event. Led by Hadoram Shirihai, scheduled to take place in October 2025.

Highlights

Thank you for registering for the upcoming Pelagic. It is important for us to highlight the following points:

  • If you are only interested in registering for one or two dates, we recommend being available for the entire week and the suggested dates in case the weather prevents the Pelagic from taking place on your chosen date.

  • We strongly advise registering and participating on all proposed dates to ensure you do not miss any Petrel sightings.

  • You have the option to depart with us from Flores Island, or we can easily pick you up from Corvo Island marine.

  • It is the participant's responsibility to ensure they have travel insurance that covers extreme sports while abroad.

  • Please note that in October, the sea in the areas where we conduct the pelagic tours is rough. This increases the chances of encountering rare petrels but also increases the likelihood of cancellations. We have the best and most experienced skipper, and we aim to hold all scheduled dates. Please prepare by stocking up on seasickness prevention pills!

  • The pelagic trip will be led by the experienced ornithologist Hadoram Shirihai. Click on the name to read more about him. This is definitely an exceptional opportunity to join one of the most renowned researchers in the field of seabirds on a pelagic trip of this kind!

Payments

  • After selecting your participation days, you will receive a payment request based on the number of days you have registered for. The cost per day Pelagic is €200.

  • 100€ of the total amount will be due via payment link or bank transfer within 7 days of the request date. The remaining payment must be paid by 01.10.2025.

  • If you prefer to pay by credit card, a 3.5% credit card processing fee will be added to the total cost. Please email almodovarbirding@gmail.com to request payment by credit card, and we will provide you with a payment link.

  • In the event that we cancel the Pelagic for any reason, you will receive a full refund of all payments made.

​

  • A final invoice will be provided only after all payments have been completed and the Plagic's has been executed upon request.
